Nowruz, the Persian New Year, is a celebration of renewal and joy that marks the arrival of spring, usually on March 20 or 21. Rooted in ancient Zoroastrian traditions, it has been observed for over 3,000 years across Iran, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and parts of the Middle East.

A central element of Nowruz is the Haft-Seen table, adorned with seven symbolic items starting with the Persian letter "S"—each representing aspects of life such as health, prosperity, and rebirth. Families gather to exchange gifts, visit loved ones, and partake in traditional festivities like Chaharshanbe Suri (fire-jumping ceremony) and Sizdah Bedar (nature day picnic).

Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Nowruz embodies the universal themes of hope, harmony, and new beginnings.
